What is Going On????

So this post was supposed to be released last Thursday, but I’ll just be honest….I was tired! Lol. Lately, time management has been kicking my butt and you’d think it would be better with me off for the summer, but that is so not the case. We recently moved into a townhome and the move was very stressful. Between packing everything and cleaning the house (and still ending up with stupid charges ;/), I’ve been exhausted. And it’s been really hot and humid here in Michigan.

See, when the snow was here, I DID NOT COMPLAIN!!! I can’t stand this heat. It’s mentally and physically exhausting for me. But the main reason I’ve been so low on energy is……because I’m pregnant! Yep! Pregnant! I’m so overjoyed right now and expecting great things to come about 🙂

You may be wondering if we were trying, but we definitely were not lol. I’m still in the process of finding places to interview for my internship and getting ready for school resuming in the fall. Things are about to be busy really quickly.

I don’t know if we’re having a boy or a girl yet and we probably won’t until around September. As of now, I’m ten weeks in with very many to go! Lol. My due date is supposed to be the first week in February. I’m praying for a girl, but of course I’ll be just as happy to have a boy. As of now, I’m still trying to wrap my head around being able to carry a baby, work full time, and complete 20 hours of internship. But in these short times of “worry” I remember that God doesn’t put more on us than we can bare. So please pray for my family and I. We need strength and endurance because we have a long road ahead of us.

Any moms of toddlers out there? What are some parenting tips and things to expect in the future? Mom groups? Advice? Help me out 🙂

  1. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is so exciting 🙂 (I am writing this as I am nursing our almost three month old 😉 ) My best advice…give yourself grace!! I am serious. You can’t do it all. You won’t do it all. During pregnancy, your hormones and energy levels will probably be all over the place. After baby is born, the same, except now there is a little someone who NEEDS you 🙂 It won’t go the way you wanted, planned, or anticipated. It will be hard at times. But above all, God is in control and it will all work out for His plan. Seriously, kids have made me grow up SO much. We have seven and I’m still growing up! I will be praying for you and your family! SO VERY EXCITING and God Bless!

    1. I hope that didn’t come off sounding scary and intimidating, lol. I didn’t mean for it to (after all, we do have seven)! Kids are so amazing and awesome! I love seeing who each one becomes and their personalities are so evident from the beginning and they grown and change so quickly, it’s amazing! Just wanted to let you know that while it is all so much fun and exciting, that sometimes you will be drained and exhausted and it’s OK to feel that way. It’s OK to just say, give me five minutes of peace while I use the bathroom please, lol. And take a nap…Nap, nap, nap. The housework and schoolwork and work-work will still be there. Babies don’t stay little forever. It’s hard in the season, but I look at our almost 13 year old and wish for some of those hard times back 🙂 God Bless!

      1. It didn’t sound scary, but rather realistic. Mostly people will paint such a pretty picture of parenthood and neglect to be “real”. So I appreciate your transparency 😊 I am excited though to be on this journey and I’ve definitely been experiencing those raging hormones lol. But you’re right about the fact that God is in control and this is truly my blessing I prayed for. Thank you so much ☺️

  2. Congratulations on your bundle of joy on the way and your new home. The Lord is your strength. Children are a blessing 🎉🎈. I’m not a mom yet but I love kids. Though it’s a lot going on, I pray that God will continue to fill your heart with joy, peace and favor throughout the juggle of pregnancy, school and work. It is well with your soul. One day at a time 😊.
